You'll also notice in the navigation menu, I've gotten rid of the Paranormal and Contemporary tabs, and all my books are simply under "Books". I don't want to confuse readers - I don't. But this feels more comfortable for me than separating my books into genres and categories that might not really encompass the whole book.
I mesh genres. I always have. And I've always tried to be clear that my books and series all vary from each other, with different types of characters, levels of heat, slightly different styles of writing / different 'feel'; some contain "hot Alpha males", some not so much ... all this info is on this site under the description of each book as much as it can be.
I came across the term genre-busting fiction yesterday and found myself a little giddy and sort of sighing with relief that there's a term I can finally use that fits ALL MY BOOKS, from the urban fantasy / paranormal romance / god-punk feel of The Witching Pen series, to the literary / surrealism feel of Saving Eve, to the hard-hitting erotic / paranormal fantasy feel of Eye Of The Storm, to the contemporary romance / women's fiction / slightly magical read of The Spell of Summer ... not to mention all my future books that might fit amongst all these, or amongst none of them.
It's bloody perfect! I finally feel a sense of freedom.
