Here they are! The brand new covers for The Witching Pen series. Scroll down to see them. You can also view the series as a whole HERE. These new covers will be on all eBook platforms from June 1st, and upload will begin store by store, from now. The paperback versions will carry the same covers, but they will be uploaded after June 1st. The old paperbacks will go out of print before June. The books have been re-edited, and new back matter has been inserted. When I say re-edited, what I mean is that one or two typos have been corrected in each book, and I've culled quite a few ellipses (...) because it seems I was ellipses-crazy when writing these books - lord knows why! But all authors' writing changes and improves over time - mine is no different. However, that is ALL that's been edited. I have not changed the content or story in any way, no words except typos have been altered, nor have I have tampered with the style of writing at all. I wouldn't want to. This series is what it is, the first book written seven years ago without expectation, and the series has since garnered a strong and steady following who love it as it is - I wouldn't change that. So, if you've just bought the old cover, don't sweat it, 'cause there's no change to the story. Make sure your Kindle or eReader is set to receive automatic updates to all eBooks, and the book should eventually update once the new covers have been released. Thank you all so much :) Cover Reveal for The Witching Pen series![]() The Witching Pen (book one): It's hard being the most powerful witch on the planet. I love them. I think they look sleek and professional, and if you're going to write a London-based PNR / Urban Fantasy set around October time ... well, grey's a great colour! But it doesn't quite portray the sheer dynamism of the series to new readers who have never heard of it - they'll likely scroll right by - yet this series is just as adventurous as the Eye of the Storm series. So, The Witching Pen series is getting a facelift! The new covers have been designed and will be revealed in the next month. They're brighter; more colourful; still women-centric. They have more of an urban fantasy feel than any of the covers that have come before. I love them and can't wait to show you. The paperback and the eBooks will share the same covers, and there'll be no light edition vs. dark edition going forward. If you love the covers above and would like your paperbacks in these covers (whether light edition or dark edition) PLEASE CONTACT ME ASAP, because once they're out of print, that's it - they're gone. Here are the light editions below: Boxed Set: The eBook boxed set will remain for sale, but will reflect the new covers. Omnibus paperback: I'm bringing back the Omnibus Edition of The Witching Pen series, but this time, it will INCLUDE The Last Dragon so you have the whole series in one book, and it will be sold as a special edition hardback. Yes - a hardback! This will be my first hardback, so I'm thrilled to bits. The eBook changes will come first, followed by the paperback cover changes; the hardback will take a bit longer. I'll give you more solid dates once I have them. This is quite a project in itself, so please bear with me. The back matter in all the books will also be updated, and the single volume paperbacks will go off-sale before the new paperback covers come in. Look out for the cover reveal in a few weeks. Blood ShadowBlood Shadow is coming to your eReader in just 11 days! Check out THE BOOK'S PAGE for all pre-order links. And if you haven't been following the countdown on my Facebook page, go have a look - each day's countdown image contains a new three-line teaser. There will also be a virtual signing for Blood Shadow, which will run from release day for two weeks only. MORE INFO HERE.
That's all for now. I'll see you on release day. The sun is finally out in England - enjoy the spring :) Love, Dianna xxx
The day you get married, is supposed to be the happiest day of your life. Dreams are made of such things. But I forgot. I could blame the witch if I wanted to – in fact I did, for quite a while after – but the fault can only lie with me. Being with him made me so happy – so very, very happy – that I chose to forget. I chose amnesia. If I had had any foresight into how my flippant choice would ruin him, I would have saved him the heartbreak. I would have forfeited my knowing him, my own selfishness, lived forever in the pain of unfulfillment, if it meant he could be spared....
When you love someone so much that your heart aches without them in your life, would you give up everything you've ever known to be with them? Would you give up your identity? This is exactly what Aria did. But her sacrifice comes at a great cost, with startling consequences. With no memory of her previous life, she's forgotten what she really is, and who she's left behind: a jealous, possessive God, who's finally found her, and will stop at nothing to keep her heart from ever straying again. In this dark and erotically passionate retelling of The Little Mermaid, can a love founded on humanity, stand the passing of time, an angry sea-God, and even death itself? Length: Novelette (over 10,000 words) External Reviews: "....a beautiful yet tragic story of true love and sacrifice." - Bitten By Paranormal Romance, 5 Stars, an Alpha Howl! "....happily sad ... a story of love, sacrifice, and choices." - Romance Novel Junkies, 4 Stars "The elements of this story weave seamlessly together, creating a touching, truly beautiful world I would personally love to visit .... I would highly recommend this story to anyone who has ever been in love before." - Night Owl Reviews, 4.25 Stars
Blood ShadowIt's high time I posted a quick update here on my site since not everyone's on Facebook all the time. First of all, I posted a FB update on Blood Shadow and where this new series will lead us. You can read the public post BY CLICKING HERE. My Release Day Newsletter will go out end of March with the Kindle pre-order link for Blood Shadow, as well as the other pre-order links for the book. The above means my writing is planned out all the way until the end of 2019 - that's a nice feeling! Here's the current line up: 27th April, 2018 Blood Shadow: an Eye Of The Storm companion novel due to be published 27th September, 2018 Aftershock: an Eye Of The Storm companion novel due to be published February, 2019 Autumn's Fall (Once Times Thrice) due to be published August, 2019 Untitled New Series #1, book 1, due to be published. February, 2020 Untitled New Series #2, book 1, due to be published. Book SigningsYesterday, I was at the UK Southern Book Show in Worthing. My next planned signing is Heart of Steel in Sheffield (UK) on 1st June, 2019. This is a ticket only event with a stellar line-up of authors including USA Today and New York Times Bestsellers. All the updates, including excerpts and readings can be found on their public Facebook Group. Blood Shadow, Aftershock and Autumn's Fall will have been published by then so you'll be able to purchase signed copies. This is also the BEST opportunity to buy the SIGNED Eye of the Storm Omnibus because there are no postage charges for me shipping out. There's a possibility I can squeeze in a book event/signing in Winchester (UK) at the end of June this year since it's fairly local to me. I'll keep you posted on that. Special OffersFirstly, if you have not read The Spell of Summer, you can get it completely FREE if you sign up to my Release Day Newsletter (via BookFunnel). And until 10th March only, Summer's End is 50% off only at Smashwords for Read an eBook Week. This essentially means you can read BOTH book for only $2.50. So if you love contemporary romance with just a touch of the magical, don't miss this deal. For any new readers who happen to be reading this, I usually write quite dark stuff. This is my "lighter" series. That's it for now! But 2018 is looking busy, so there will undoubtedly be more soon.
Love, Dianna xxx What a year! Having started it doubtful and a little worried, I can safely say I have wrapped up a LOT in 2017, made huge progress, and am thoroughly looking forward to 2018. What are you looking forward to most in 2018? As I move into the new year, I'd like to mention that I'm on Booklikes.com now - this is where I'm going to hold most of my upcoming paperback giveaways and conducting some future interviews and special features, and so on. I'm excited about this new platform! My Booklikes blog will feature all writing updates, so if you're on there, you don't have to venture onto Facebook or my own website to keep up to date on releases and excerpts. (And if you're on Goodreads, all my updates already transfer to my Goodreads blog.) I'm also on Litsy.com (my handle is DiannaHardy - just search for me there). I plan to post a fair amount on Litsy, as a reader as well as a writer. It's a lovely little space full of truly passionate book lovers, and only available as an app. I am still most active on Facebook, and I don't see that changing any time soon, but these other platforms may bring something new into the mix. With regards to new releases, the Eye of the Storm Omnibus Edition is now out! All the books in one. It does NOT contain the "Recap of Werewolf Biology and other Terms" section that you get at the beginning of the individual volumes because there's no gap between books, so you can read through the whole thing without needing the recap. I also wanted to keep something exclusive to the individual volumes. I may revisit the recap if I ever bring out a compendium of the series - it may happen, because, as we know, it hasn't quite ended. Blood Shadow and Aftershock will continue the saga in a different way. The Omnibus is a steal at £9.99 for the digital format, and £24.95 for the HUGE bumper, special edition keepsake paperback of 824 pages. You can get them via the links below (release date: 31st December).
2018 will see me writing Blood Shadow, followed by Aftershock, and then I'll also be starting work on Autumn's Fall, which won't be published until 2019. If I can squeeze any other, new stories in between, I will, but those are my priorities. You can pre-order Blood Shadow already over at iBooks, Nook, Book Depository and Waterstones. Excerpts and teasers will be posted on my Facebook page, as well as on Booklikes over the coming weeks. Finally, I'll be at the UK Southern Book Show in Worthing on Sunday, 4th March - I hope to see some readers there. I'll have some books on hand and will also be giving a short talk in the afternoon.
2018 is looking to be full of opportunities, and I wish you all the very best of them. Here's my question to you again: What are you looking forward to most in 2018? Do let me know in the comments. Have a wonderful New Year's Eve, everyone, and may your New Year be full of abundance! Love, Dianna xxx If you're looking for the last book of the Eye Of The Storm series - signed - to add to your collection, the virtual signing is now open. There are also a few benefits to a virtual signing you won't get with a regular order - you can view all the info here:
http://www.bittenfruitbooks.com/virtual-signing.html There is also exclusive Eye Of The Storm merchandise coming to the store soon - not much of it, and it's not always easy to order in, so if you see anything you'd like, do grab it. I have a very cool mug arriving soon, and a very cool notebook. Some Facebook peeps have already reserved theirs - they'll be gone quite quickly. Best way to reserve yours now is to order at the store, and it will automatically be sent to you on arrival. http://www.bittenfruitbooks.com/store/c5/Exclusive_Merchandise.html Lastly, I am trudging through the Eye Of The Storm Omnibus Edition formatting. My goodness, it's a task and a half, and trying to fit it all into one giant paperback is looking to be a challenge. But I have accepted the challenge! More on this soon when I'm nearing the end. The expected date for the release of the Omnibus is 31st December, this year. There'll be an eBook version as well, but both versions require different formatting, so I literally have to do all six books, twice. (This is how much I love my readers ;p ) That's it for now, but there's more news coming very soon - it's a busy end of the year! Love, Dianna xxx Good morning, everyone! Thank you for all your lovely feedback and reviews for Reign Of The Wolf. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. This is going to be a short and sweet blog post because I want to get straight to telling you the good stuff! New Website The website is self-explanatory: here it is! TA-DA!!! Welcome to my new site - a bit more sleek and a little easier to navigate, I hope. Have a browse, let me know what you think. Cover Reveals I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS! It's going to mean more to you if you've finished the Eye Of The Storm series. As you all know, the Eye Of The Storm has ended now - the story of our four favourite werewolves is done. But others' stories are just beginning. There's the vivacious Layla, and the mysterious Jasmine for starters. I really, really want to write about their future. However, before I can tell their story, we need to find out exactly how they got to where their story starts. So ... [drumroll] two companion novels are in the works! The companion novels form their own mini-series called Blood Never Lies, but each book stands on its own. The pre-order for these will go live very soon. The first is called Blood Shadow and tells the story of Jennifer Warren. If you've read to the end of Reign Of The Wolf, you'll know exactly who that is. I couldn't leave her voice unheard; I couldn't leave her with all the shit I'd put her through without a more solid conclusion. Her story is expected to be published in April, 2018 in both eBook and paperback.
The second companion novel is called Aftershock, and belongs to Pete and Claire (and Jasmine). We're going to find out what happened to them over those five years they were away. SPOILER ALERT: Don't read this blurb if you have not yet finished Reign Of The Wolf! Aftershock has an expected release date of September, 2018.
And there you have it! Before all of that though, we have the Reign Of The Wolf paperback about to go on sale end of this month, and then the Eye Of The Storm Omnibus Edition planned for end of December.
And it feels so damn good to be busy again :) I look forward to sharing it all with you. Love, Dianna xxx |
