Blood Never Lies is a duet of companion novels to the Eye of the Storm series. Blood Shadow explains what happened to Selena after Reign of the Wolf and is followed by Fathoms Deep. And Aftershock explains what happened to Pete, Beth, and baby Jasmine. The two books cross over with each other in the last couple of chapters and also with Jewels of the Crown in the After the Storm novelettes.

So, if you're a fan of the series and want to read the new series these books are leading to, it is highly recommended you read these two books, Fathoms Deep, and After the Storm.

It may also be worth mentioning that Aftershock also reintroduces a main character from The Witching Pen series (years after The Witching Pen series ended). Aftershock is the point at which the "Dianna-verse" begins to cross over and come together.
